It is more like a game of whack-a-mole then actual Beaver shooting. There are just small areas of water open in the ice right next to the beaver lodges. Do you sit and wait for them to pop up and then you've got a very limited time to get a shot off. And of course the fact that you got to cross the sketchy ice to go retrieve them makes for an exciting Adventure! LOL I'm going to say the smallest one weighs 40 lb I think I finally broke the 60 pound curse out here on the big line. But I'm not sure and I'll never know because I don't have a scale here and these will be skinned and processed later today
