Yesterday we got a hundred and fifty day old meat chicks. Last night under the threat of rain the temperature dropped to single digits above freezing and then at two thirty in the morning the power went out. I had to go out dig around find a generator (most of them are out at the trap line) and get it running to to hook up the heat lamps so none of the chicks died. This morning we still had no power. I took the coffee pot and I went out and plugged in the coffee pot next to the chicken coop made a pot of coffee and wondered at the possibilities of life. Lol.
